Hi problem solver!

This week, we have 4 challenges for you to solve and a winning prize if you have the most popular idea! To participate, you can follow the design thinking journey by going from a problem statement to a prototype or wing it if you already have an amazing idea and submit it by clicking the button above, until Thursday midnight! You can participate alone or with a team, no restrictions on the size of the team!

Fintech has revolutionised financial services, introducing consumers to new products such as faster payments, robo-savings products, loan platforms, crowdfunding and more. Fintech companies are now household names and have certainly broken the dominance of financial service’s largest players. With these new technologies however, have arised increased risks of fraud. How can we tackle financial fraud threats that arise with Fintech?

Urban Innovation

In the midst of unprecedented growth, we are witnessing the highest density of population ever recorded in history. Mankind has been able to create and invent solutions that facilitate everyday-life, but these solutions have brought to life challenges that we were not prepared to tackle. Moreover, as new technologies emerge, we develop new fluencies and habits that rapidly invalidate the efficiency of previous technologies and solutions. How can IoT technologies improve urban development and positively impact people’s lives?

Life Sciences

Technologies in the domain of health and medicine have drastically and positively changed our rapport to the necessary versus the accessory. We have shifted from solutions that ensure survival to solutions that improve everyday life, beauty and extend our lives expectancies. However, these solutions have also shown many negative consequences in the long-term, such as major side effects, dehumanized services, automatization of patient care that omit differentiator factors that play a role in the care’s outcome. How can we efficiently use emerging technologies to improve health & medicine?

Future of Work

The Covid outbreak has severely affected our relationship to work. We are, now more than ever, facing many challenges that directly or indirectly impact worker’s wellbeing and productivity. Some companies ,like Twitter, have committed to continuing with the work-from-home setting long after the outbreak. While it brings many opportunities such as less commute, more time with family and more flexibility, it also incapacitates some companies that haven’t grasped the right way to address their employees’ wellbeing. How can companies improve productivity in the “work from home” setting?
